Megalift was recently tasked to deliver a 50-meter long Bullet Tank from Port Klang to Pengerang where the oil and gas facilities are, within the state of Johor, Malaysia.
After conducting a structural study on the cargo, it was decided that the best transport trailer configuration would be the bolster system with turntable. This meant there were two separate set of trailers at different holding points. Instead of having one long stretch of trailers, the turntable will enable easier turning of the cargo especially when there is limitation in space.
Receiving the cargo at client’s fabrication yard, Megalift did a RORO in Port Klang to move it onto the barge. After sailing it to Johor Bahru, they then rolled off the cargo and transported through a distance of several kilometers before arriving at site.
