Freight Connection Pakistan (Pvt) Ltd (FCPPL) has added another feather in the cap by completing one of the most challenging projects. FCPPL had signed a contract with EPCL in November to deal with one of the heaviest packages, which were 201 MT of HI boil columns and a long package of recycle column, which was 44 meters long. This project covered a very distance from Coatzacoalcos, Mexico to Port Qasim, Pakistan and the journey took 51 days with a total distance of approximately 8,661 miles.
Their scope or work was not only limited to ocean freight but it included, conducting cargo survey at the project site in Mexico, cargo pick up from project site to alongside vessel at Port Coatzacoalcos, the arrangement of carrying vessel/charter vessel, purchasing of SOC containers, delivery of MT containers at the project site, stuffing arrangements to delivery at alongside vessel for loading, customs clearance at origin /destination and loading/unloading under expert supervision, and delivery to the consignee door.
The big challenge was to arrange a full charter for this project, so they hired a full charter with competitive prices and loaded some additional cargo without any demurrage charges. They have cleared the cargo smoothly from the customs clearance process, where everything was on time and delivered successfully.
