Last month International Freight Transport, INC handled the shipment of equipment utilized by the mining industry. The unit, weighing in at over 190,000 pounds, is used to crush rocks on site at a mining facility.
Due to the extreme weigh, as well as the wide dimension of the circular equipment, there was a necessity for permits and road studies to move the cargo overland to reach port.
Originating in Spain, the unit was brought to port where it was loaded aboard a vessel for the Atlantic crossing to the port of Houston in Texas. Upon arrival, the cargo was again brought overland to the final destination in Utah.
All legs of the journey went as planned and the equipment arrived in good order at the mine in Utah.
