First Global Logistics oversee CROSCO’s Well Drilling Equipment project cargo from Egypt via Slovenia to Croatia
CROSCO Drilling & Well service Co. is the leading Well-Drilling-service provider, known for their cost effectiveness and in-time delivery for their customers. At one of their recent projects, First Global Logistics was presented to assist with drilling equipment handling from their site in Alexandria to newest site in Croatia.
The challenge was the cargo was too heavy and over dimensional to be shipped using normal containers, but FGL came up with the solution by introducing the use of 40′ Open top High and 40′ Flat Rack containers. The cargo was shipped to Koper port in Slovenia and from there by on-carriage to Zagreb in Croatia. The chosen route had saved its sailing time and the cost was relatively cheaper.
Details of the load:
Cargo consisted of: VFD Control Unit, Hydrill Unit, Saddles and other Petroleum drilling and piping tools
Equipment Used: 2 x 40′ Open Top –2 x 40′ Flat Racks
VFD Control Dimensions: 7.5 x 2.5 x 3.25 m (15 tons)
Piping Dimensions: 10.5 x 2.4 x 2.95 m (22 tons)
