Conveyor Logistics successfully completed delivery of Heat Recovery Steam Generation
XLP member, Conveyor Logistics has successfully and safely completed delivery of 18 units of Heat Recovery Steam Generation (HRSG) Modules of Ashuganj 450 MW Combined Cycle Power Plant (North), Bangladesh.
The HRSG modules were 24.0 meter long and 5 meter wide and the weights ranging from 79 tons to 170 tons. All Heavy-lift (HL) and Over-dimension Cargos (ODC) of Ashuganj 450 MW Combined Cycle Power Plant (North) project were received from mother vessel at Mongla port on flat barges, which were transported through approximately 415km long river route from Mongla to the temporary jetty built on the bank of Meghna River at Ashuganj.
The HRSG modules were unloaded from barges by tandem operation using two cranes — one having lifting capacity of 230Tons and the other having lifting capacity of 150 tons. The HRSG modules were placed on pre-positioned cross beams over SPMT (Self-propelled Modular Transporter) and was hauled to the project site located about 1 KM away from the temporary jetty by using a 15 axle-line SPMT. The SPMT had off-loaded the HRSG modules on stool and cross beam support system at the lay-down area of project for erection at a later date by the Mechanical/Erection Contractor.
