All Gassed Up

< 1 min read

International Freight Transport, INC (IFT) recently handled the transport of two large compressor units for use in the oil and natural gas industries.

The cargo, two industrial compressors, came from separate points of origin. One was picked up in Oklahoma, the other came from Texas. Both the units were extremely large, the Oklahoma compressor weighed in at approximately 92,000 pounds, while the unit from Texas came in at over 100,000 pounds. The length of each was over 27 feet and both were approximately 12 feet wide and high.

In order to load them aboard the vessel at the port, specialized cranes were brought into play to successfully make the transfer.

All went in good order and they arrived at the final destination in Egypt to be put to use.
