Trans-Trading Locomotives for Hanko/Finland

2 min read

The fleet of the Finnish State Railways (VR) will receive further Locomotives. On behalf of Trans-Trading Hamburg, the Lübeck Port Company (LHG) has recently refitted three Vectron locomotives numbers 45,46 and 47. Each unit weighed 90 tons with dimensions of 19.04 x 3.05 x 4.4 m.

The three locomotives have travelled “on their own axles” from  Bavarian plant in Munich to Seelandkai terminal, where they were prepared for the ocean transport to Hanko/Finland via Ferry Service from Transfennica.

The Trans-Trading lifting gear was fixed on the mobile cranes and the reloading of the locomotives from rail onto heavy duty roll trailer were handled with Trans-Trading transport beddings attached underneath the locomotives.

LHG and Trans-Trading were jointly executing the sophisticated security measures to meet all safety requirements. After the heavy package was tied properly, dockers pulled the roll trailers with the three locomotives aboard a Transfennica ship.

Vessel: Hafnia See

ETS: 08.03.2022

ETA: 11.03.2022

The locomotives arrived safely and in time at port of destination Hanko/Finland.
