Moving a 100+ tonne fully dressed Komatsu D475A-3 Dozer is no easy task for most transport companies. This job was complicated by the machine being situated on unstable swampy ground and the dozer being over 5.2m wide. NMT Oceania’s solution included the hiring of an all terrain fork-lift, hire of crane (for blade), and purchase of heavy duty pallets. Their diesel mechanics who attended the site had all the necessary equipment (generators, tools, etc) to strip the machine onsite into a suitable shipping configuration.
