This Lunar New Year, Precious Prestige Logsitics (PPL)’s project team experienced an unforgettable Lunar New Year oversea. The late arrival of ocean vessel to Haiphong port, and request by the customer for immediate delivery of generators to the Namsan 3 Hydropower Plant,
PPL has arranged a trucking team of 08 trucks including 02 heavy duty prime movers and chassis for OOG packages smoothly passing a long distance over 450km for delivery in Laos with precision and efficiency.

Commodities: 3-phase Synchrone Generator and equipment
Volume: 58PKGS, 460.480CBM / 268,572 KGS, included 02 OOG cases.
OOG cases 1: Stator transport. Dim (LxWxH) = (633x580x362) CBM / 81,000 KGS
OOG cases 2: Rotor transport. Dim (LxWxH) = (580x390x350) CBM / 82,100 KGS
Scope of Business:
– Exchange DO and receive cargo on a truck directly discharged from the ocean vessel at Haiphong port.
– Customs clearance, cross-border gates Na Meo in Vietnam and Namsoi in Laos.
– Arrange trucking over a long distance of approximately 450 km, from Haiphong port in Vietnam to the jobsite in Houaphan Province, Lao PDR.
Challenges:
– Complicated customs procedures
– Very bad road condition at border area
– Just-in-time (JIT) commitment to customer
Despite these challenges, the dedicated PPL team successfully navigated through the complexities, ensuring the safe and timely delivery of crucial generators. The Lunar New Year, which began on February 8 and lasted until February 14. The office reopened on February 15, and as PPL welcomed the team back, celebrations and congratulations for the New Year.
