Kamor Logistics Delivers Transformer

2 min read

Kamor Logistics completed another successful delivery of a heavy transformer from Balikesir in Turkey to Ashdod Port in Israel.

The shipment consisted of a 160 mts Transformer and 16 wooden cases of accessories. The transformer was sent for refurbishment in Turkey last year and was delivered back to its owner, the ‘Israeli Electricity Company’. All cargo units were loaded onboard m/v Altius, a small general cargo coaster vessel chartered by Kamor Logistics for the mission, in the Port of Aliaga in Turkey, after being brought to the Port by a heavy-duty low-bed trailer using a ‘pulling and pushing’ horses set-up. In Ashdod, the transformer was discharged using two hydraulic cranes employed by Kamor Logistics for that purpose.

The loading and stowage planning were meticulously planned by Kamor Logistics team of experts. This was another contract of the Israeli Electricity Company won over a bidding process and successfully executed by Kamor Logistics LTD.
