International Freight Transport Moves Airport Bridges and Component Parts from Florida, USA to Aruba

< 1 min read

International Freight Transport had recently transported 2 airport bridges and component parts – they were shipped in 2 breakbulk units and 4 flatracks.

The size of the units was 690 x143 x144 cm and the weight was 49,000 LBs each.

Port of Loading: Port Everglades in Florida, USA

Port of Discharge: Port of Oranjestad in Aruba

There were many challenges in the process of finishing this move. One of their loaded trucks caught on fire, one driver got into a wreck, and another driver broke down on the way to the port just barely arriving in time.

Small carriers and multiple parties involved made coordination of the move more difficult. The short transit time to the destination put a rush on customs clearance, ensuring payments were made, and getting all documents in order. Despite all the obstacles above, International Freight Transport had successfully accomplished their job.
