How Did Go Gauge Manage This Heavy-Lift Project?

Go Gauge Logistics, a member of the XLProjects Network (XLP), successfully completed the complex transportation of heavy-lift power generators and accessories across India for a critical U.S. energy project.
The heaviest generator weighed 110 metric tons, making precise engineering, route planning, and safety coordination essential.

What Did the Project Involve?

The scope of work covered every stage of the shipment — from factory pickup in India to final port delivery in the United States.
The company provided end-to-end project logistics including:

  • Multi-axle transportation
  • Route surveys and engineering studies
  • Lashing and securing operations
  • Port stevedoring and vessel chartering on MPP geared vessels

All activities were carried out under stringent safety protocols and in full compliance with engineering and marine warranty requirements.

How Did Go Gauge Ensure Precision and Safety?

Go Gauge’s in-house engineering division prepared detailed transport drawings, method statements, and lifting plans.
Custom-designed DG shock absorbers were used for vibration control, while COG (Center of Gravity) monitoring ensured load balance during every phase of handling and transport.
These meticulous preparations were key to securing Marine Warranty Surveyor (MWS) approval for the operation.
