FLS Vietnam fear neither storm nor wind!

Rough weather conditions, strict quarantine regulations, and a tight schedule were no obstacles for FLS to deliver their latest project. 2 pontoons -each 126 tons- 2 link spans and 4 struts were transported from Vietnam and discharged directly into Australian waters.

This was made possible by FLS’ detailed Bio Security Management Plan put in place in close coordination with Australian Authorities. The extended scope included the use of the ship cranes to assemble all pieces into a jetty alongside the vessel. The jetty will allow a ferry to operate between Weipa and Rio Tinto’s Amrun Project.
