First global Logistics Egypt continues its support to the Oil &Gas sector for their movements across the world. This time from Egypt to the UAE, specifically to Abu Dhabi where the client’s premises were located. The job was awarded to them after proposing a cost effective transport solution from door shipper address in Fayoum City using Damietta port as the port of loading with 350 kms distance between the two points (to Khalifa Port, Abu Dhabi) the shipment was loaded as one lot in 11×40’FR.
The cargo was BB 50 oil tanks with dimensions of L x W x H = 1,100 x 370 x 440 cm and weight of 12,000 kgs each. There were a total of 11 oil tanks. The total volume was 2,000 CBM and a total weight of 132,000 kgs. The carrier that was used was CMA-CGM and the scope of work included cargo and route survey, obtaining traffic permits with road and bridges authority approval for trucking, sending 11 low bed trailers to the site for loading and returning on the same day in one convoy to the Damietta Port. First Global Logistics was also responsible for the unloading, lashing, securing the cargo at Damietta Port depot and then shifting to flat racks to the carrier’s port yard. They did the export customs clearance with full documentation and all the freighting until CFR to Khalifa Port, Abu Dhabi. The shipment was successfully loaded on board and agreed and planned with the customer.
