Excellent Road Journey in Pakistan from Star Shipping

XLP member, Star Shipping, did an extensive route survey for the 1480 km road journey from Port Qasim to the job site at Attock Refinery near Islamabad. They received the cargo vessel hook at Port Qasim, Pakistan and two cranes were used for the loading of ISMV 001 & 010 at Descon Site Lahore (600 ton American Hoist Crane as Main Crane and 250 tons Manitowoc 4100W Crane as the assist Crane). They used special trucks to move the 122 ton pieces by road over a 22 day journey with route cars and cooperation of local authorities. All went according to plan with no problems!

The company has 55 Goldhofer manufactured axles, and 14 Commetto manufactured axles that can be attached in different combinations depending on the package, along with a fleet of 500 horse power 6×6 Mercedes Benz Prime Movers, Cranes ranging from 20 to 300 tons lifting capacity with an assortment of both conventional and telescopic booms varying from 40 to 265 feet in length.
