EGL Move Over Length Cargo Through Hectic Area of Cairo
Egyptian Global Logistics – subsidiary of KADMAR GROUP – managed to complete the transport of concrete beams for Cairo metro project using 12 axle lines Goldhofer turntable.
Each unit weighted 130 tons with a length of 44 meters. However, the major challenge was the 44 meters width, as some parts of the unit was partially off the road while delivering on narrow roads, and these units had to be delivered through the most hectic area of Cairo where traffics had to be stopped more than 3 hours to enable the maneuvering of the truck.
EGL overcame obstacles and tight schedules, solving the challenges in the safest and most cost-effective technique. Through careful planning, precise maneuvering and the use of latest fleet equipment and technology, EGL was able to transport the units safely to the site.
