EGL Communicates the Increase in prices of Gasoline and Kerosene in Egypt

On Thursday, 29 June 2017 the Egyptian government announced a decree that increases the price of Gasoline, Kerosene and other petrol products by around 55%.

That is a step to decrease the governmental subsidy and to minimize the deficit of the country budget.

The increase in prices is effective from 00:01 on 29-July-2017.

Most of the trucking and transport companies have declared 43 to 55% increase in trucking and transport rates.

EGL will monitor the impact of this increase on the ports and other related activities and report on regular basis.
