B&M LOG BRAZIL recently coordinated the complex transport logistics of a brand‑new “New Holland W190B” wheel loader, from the manufacturing plant in Sorocaba, SP Brazil to Corinto, Nicaragua. Given the high‑value nature of the operation and its out‑of‑gauge (OOG) dimensions, every millimeter of the movement required absolute precision.
To make this OOG project viable, the team began with a rigorous regulatory mapping, obtaining all mandatory special permits for the road transport of the equipment, with 3,015 mm of width and weighing 14.8 ton. Demonstrating great efficiency, the cargo was picked up and delivered to the terminal for stuffing in just 24 hours, with total safety. Upon arrival, B&M secured storage of the asset in a fully covered area, shielding the machinery from the elements before the critical phase.

Entry into the port zone followed strict compliance with international standards. For this specific movement, B&M selected a 40’ Flat Rack ideal for supporting the weight and dimensions of the cargo. Transforming the machinery into a safe unit for the maritime mode involved rigorous processes, including detailed checklists to avoid friction and high‑performance lashing using chains and straps with high breaking strength to lock the structure against the dynamic forces of the voyage. This entire pre‑shipment procedure — from reception to release of the stuffed unit — was successfully completed in a few days.

With the equipment consolidated, the maritime shipment was initiated from the Port of Santos bound for the Port of Corinto. The crossing totaled 44 days of navigation, including a strategic transshipment stage at the Port of Cartagena, Colombia. Throughout the international transit, B&M operational control tower maintained constant visibility and reporting, ensuring total predictability for the client regarding the arrival of the piece. This project reaffirms that B&M does not limit itself to transporting goods — it delivers trust, infrastructure, and the future of our partners’ businesses around the world.
The excellence applied in this operation reflects B&M ability to plan, coordinate, and execute highly specialized logistics projects.
