Balena Projects Delivers 110-Ton Transformer Shipment Across the US

< 1 min read

Balena Projects coordinated the transport of four transformer sets and related equipment, with a combined weight exceeding 110 tons, from the Ports of Norfolk, VA and New York, NY to project sites in West Seneca, NY and Auburn, NC. The units were discharged from vessel using specialized crane and rigging equipment selected to match their size and weight requirements.

Each unit was landed safely and positioned for onward transport, with surveyors present throughout to inspect the cargo and verify the lifting operation at every stage. Cargo movement combined breakbulk shipments and containerized equipment, with our team managing port handling, inland transport, on-site offloading, and final positioning from start to finish.

This project reflects our hands-on experience with breakbulk cargo and our commitment to comprehensive, end-to-end logistics execution.
