Aprojects Delivers Locomotives to Hanko in Finland

< 1 min read

The Finnish State Railways (VR) fleet has recently welcomed three additional locomotives, a significant addition facilitated by Aprojects Hamburg. Through collaboration with the Lübeck Port Company (LHG). Three Vectron locomotives numbers 56, 57, and 58 have been successfully converted, each weighing 90 tonnes and dimensions measuring 19,04 x 3,05 x 4,44 meters.

These locomotives embarked on a journey, traveled “on their own axles” from the Bavarian plant in Munich to Seelandkai terminal, where they were prepared for the ocean transport to Hanko, Finland, via Ferry Service provided by Transfennica.

To ensure safety during transport, The Aprojects team has manufactured their own transport safety racks, designed specifically for this purpose. This attention to detail guarantees that the locomotives are securely “packed” and arrive safely in Finland.
