ACI Cargo Perform Cargo Survey in Shanghai
ACI Cargo’s undersigned surveyor attended on board of M/V. “MORNING LUCY” V. 089 while she was berthed at Shanghai Haitong Port in China for the purpose of carrying out loading and lashing survey on the cargo.

The Scope of Work
- Cargo condition survey: the cargo was covered with waterproof cloths and stored at the shipper’s factory; no major defects found on the cargo surface. Overall, the cargo was in good condition.
- Loading operation: the cargo was loaded onto trucks one by one with a crane and nylon ropes – the cargo was connected to the tractor and transported smoothly to the designated position in cargo hold no.3. The stevedores loaded the cargo one by one smoothly in the same manner. Eight packages of cargo were loaded into cargo hold no. 3 without any accidents.
- Cargo lashing and securing: the stevedores performed cargo lashing with iron chains. The cargo was first wrapped with cloths and lashed with iron chains from the lashing points to the cargo holds. The lashing condition was considered customary; no defects found at last.
Surveyor’s Comments
The cargo was in good condition. The equipment stevedores used during loading and lashing operation was considered suitable for the cargo type.
Loading and lashing operation went smoothly and acceptable – suitable for sea transportation.
