International Freight Transport Inc, moves crane to Thailand

It stands just over 12 foot tall. Weighs in at 80,000 lbs. and 48 feet long. It would strike fear into the hearts of most, but for IFT it was just another easy shipment. In the early part of August IFT handled a RO/RO shipment of a Link-Belt HSP-8050 crane from Utah to Lat Krabang, Thailand. Located 30 km from downtown Bankok, the Lat Krabang Inland Container Depot (LICD) is a 200 acre facility in the important manufacturing and consumption center of Thailand. It is linked to the port of Laem Chabang by both road and rail systems and acts as a custom clearance facility with government agencies on site.

IFT also recently delivered a drilling rig machinery house to South America. Leaving from Florida the equipment was on a race for time to reach its destination. Urgency required that the 115 metric ton unit that houses the power groups for the drill in a controlled environment be delivered on the same day that it departed the US. As always, IFT was up for the challenge and the equipment arrived at its new home on time and in good order.
