Manuport Logistics (MPL) Brazil successfully coordinated the export of two used Epiroc / Atlas Copco DM30 drilling rigs, collected EXW from the exporter’s yard in Matias Barbosa, Minas Gerais, Brazil, and transported to the Port of Santos for RoRo (Roll-on/Roll-off) vessel loading.
Each unit presented a significant logistical challenge, with dimensions of approximately 14.0 m long × 5.15 m wide × 5.10 m high and a weight of around 32 metric tons. The operation involved several specialized services, including:
- Road transportation: dedicated low-bed trailers to accommodate the oversized dimensions and concentrated loads.
- Specialized lifting operations: carefully planned and executed to ensure safe cargo handling.
- Port operations: coordinated RoRo loading procedures to safely position and deliver both units on board the vessel.
- Export customs clearance: handled by our in-house customs brokerage team at MPA – Manuport Aduaneira, ensuring integrated support from the exporter’s premises through to port departure.
