Silent Air and Sea/ Silent Transport and Nova Shipping Coordinate to Ship Five Mixer Tanks from Scotland to New York, USA

2 min read

As a UK member of the XLP Projects Network, Silent Air and Sea/ Silent Transport was appointed by their USA agent Nova Shipping to oversee the delivery/ handling and lashing of five mixer tanks for a plant delivery in the USA.

The tanks were transported from a facility in Scotland to Southampton for loading and lashing on flat rack containers.  As the tanks were OOG (Out of gauge), they required special handling and co-ordination to ensure they were transported to a dockside to meet the sailing deadline. The whole process was expertly handled by their team and the end customer was very satisfied with the service provided.  A great team effort by both Nova Shipping and Silent Air and Sea. Detail of the shipment is as following:

Weight: Each vessel weighed 6,000 kg.

Dimensions: 900 x 350 x 350 cm.

Port of loading: Southampton, UK

Port of discharge: New York, USA

Type of travel: Ocean – Flat rack containers – Out of Gauge
