Quench coolers for an ethylene plant in China

< 1 min read

Karl Gross Internationale Spedition GmbH organized an initial shipment of quench coolers for an ethylene plant from Germay to China via breakbulk vessel. There were a total of 86 pieces with lengths up to 25 meters and weighed up to 60 tons. The breakbulk carrier call was at Wallmann Terminal in Hamburg.

They also handled another lot of Ethylene plant components from Germany to China which were shipped RO/RO through their project logistics specialists. They organized the shipment of 34 OGG pieces with lengths up to 24 meters, and weighed up to 60 tons. To meet the cargo’s tight time table, they chose RO/RO shipping. One key factor to make this transport work was to ensure the stability of the cargo during the loading and discharging operations and to secure the freight pieces for the sea transport. Karl Gross’s solution was to create special constructions as support structures for the cargo’s access dimensions.
